In the Qigong and Foundations class we introduce Chinese health exercises and the fundamental principles and exercises of T’ai Chi Ch’uan.
Students in the Gentle T’ai Chi class will focus on the principles of T’ai Chi through the various exercises and Qigong as they learn the first section of the T’ai Chi Form.
FORM 1: 1st Section of the Form (the first 13 movements of the Form)

In the 1st section of the Form class, students continue to practice the exercises and apply the principles learned in the Qigong and Foundations of T’ai Chi class as they learn the first section of the T’ai Chi Ch’uan form–a series of 37 T’ai Chi movements woven together in a sequence to enhance relaxation, Chi development, physical balance, and energy balance.
Students in the 2nd section of the Form class, in addition to continuing to practicing the various exercises, will focus on the second section of the T’ai Chi Ch’uan Form and the principles behind the movements.
The advanced class is for students who have learned the complete 37-posture T’ai Chi Ch’uan Form. In this class we will continue to focus on the principles of T’ai Chi as they relate to the exercises, the Form, and two-person practices.
Wednesdays, 8:00–8:30 p.m., Pam Hultgren, instructor
The Advanced+ class will serve as an extension to the Advanced class for those Advanced students wishing to have some additional time for discussion and two-person practices.
