Class offerings in Northfield:
QIGONG and FOUNDATIONS OF TAI CHI CHUAN
Mondays, 7:00–8:00 p.m., Kathy Sheridan/Xin Tian, instructor
Saturdays, 9:30–10:30 a.m., Paula Chalk, instructor
The Qigong and Foundations of Tai Chi class offers an introduction to traditional Chinese health exercises and the basic principles of Tai Chi Chuan. Through gentle movements and standing practices, students develop balance, improve breathing, cultivate calmness, and learn to relax both body and mind.
The following classes, Gentle, Form, Advanced and Advanced+,
are for students who have completed the Qigong and Foundations of Tai Chi Chuan class.
GENTAL TAI CHI CLASS
Saturdays, 9:30–10:15 a.m.
Pam Hultgren instructor
The Gentle Tai Chi Class is designed for students who would like to learn the first section of the Tai Chi Form at a slower, more comfortable pace. It is especially well suited for seniors and for individuals who may experience challenges with balance, mobility, or memory.
FORM CLASS
Mondays, 7:00–8:00 p.m.
Saturdays, 8:20–9:20 a.m.

The Form Class emphasizes the fundamental principles of Tai Chi while providing step-by-step instruction in the Form. Breakout sessions offer opportunities for focused practice and individualized attention on specific sections of the Form.
ADVANCED
Wednesdays, 6:30–7:30 p.m.

The Advanced class focuses on the principles of Tai Chi as they relate to the exercises and the Form. Contact the Pam at shenlongusa@gmail.com before registering for this class the first time.
ADVANCED+
Wednesdays, 7:30–8:00 p.m.

The Advanced+ class serves as an extension to the Advanced class for those Advanced students wishing to have some additional time for discussion and two-person practices.
